The AcceleratiON Programme is the BMW Group’s international graduate programme offering the opportunity to jumpstart the career of talented graduates and young professionals. Through completing four different assignments, participants work in various parts of the BMW Group including BMW headquarters in Munich and another international BMW market. During their assignments, participants gain insights into business processes, strategy, culture, and the BMW Group brands from both a local and global perspective. Establishing an excellent international network while working on strategic and operational projects in three different countries, the programme provides a solid basis for a successful international career at the BMW Group.

Major Responsibilities

• 6 months project in home country and home department - Target Guidance, system integration Team:

1) support PM house work, join the IDC integration monitor and report the status of current project phase

2) support China Release circle, customer app release, to coordinate the PO-T with stakeholders to get timely release approval, identify the to be improved area, maintain the release clusters and approvers.

3) support app release strategy including app selection, process update, technical dependency identification, validation strategy manual & automatically and test resource coordination with all dev and testing teams.

• 3 months placement in Head Quarter (AG): recommended to experience in the R&D department and / or other central functions to better know the BMD strategy, integration process and build up connections with head quarter.
• 6 months project in home country (2nd major field) - option 1. Business Line team to deeply understand the product details, and to know how to translate them into requirements and define technical solution. Option 2. Hardware team to deeply understand the complete HW and SW loop of component, beyond SOP app delivery but the full chain of ECU delivery with milestones and vehicle production integration.
• 3 months to the 3rd country (subject to actual situation): e.g. Garching, Germany, JC and JD to join the software factory - project practice to further support POC project on behalf of China. Network extension and deep learning and understanding how software build, integration and software project management practice mindset.
• Other projects and tasks assigned by line manager, e.g. support on brand research measures, planning of communication milestones and to prepare pitch briefings and top management presentations.

Qualifications

• Education / Degree: Master’s degree preferred in Automotive with Electric/Electronic division or Telematics and communication division, Software engineering, computer science or similar

• Knowledge / Skills /Competences:
• Fluent English (as well as knowledge of another language if English is the native language)
• Business-fluent language skills in the local language
• Initiative, personal accountability, willingness to change, team spirit, and self-reflection
• Readiness for an international career
• Strong experience in IT or Eclectic/Electronic area and deep knowledge in software development
• Strong organizational and project leadership skills
• Highly self-motivated and structured problem solving abilities are essential attributes as is the ability to priorities high levels of workload.
• Confident and competent presentation and communication skills

• Experience:
• At least 6 months of relevant work experience (e.g. internships, training, initial professional experience) up to a maximum of 2-3 years’ professional working experience.
• At least 4 months of relevant experience abroad (e.g. studies, practical experience, work & travel) should be demonstrated on CV.
• Extracurricular involvement (e.g. initial leadership experience in a university, community, or work setting, engagement in a student project, political or charity organization)
