Description

AcceleratiON is the BMW Group’s international graduate programme offering the opportunity to jumpstart the career of talented graduates and young professionals. Through completing four different assignments, participants work in various parts of the BMW Group including BMW headquarters in Munich and another international BMW market. During their assignments, participants gain insights into business processes, strategy, culture, and the BMW Group brands from both a local and global perspective.

Establishing an excellent international network while working on strategic and operational projects in three different countries, the programme provides a solid basis for a successful international career at the BMW Group.


Responsibility

  • 6 months project in home country and home department - Navagation, Location Based Services, E-Mobility Team:

1) support design and conduct market research & product scouting, deliver findings and analysis & prioritize results with timeline

2) Working with agile team, breakdown requirements into stories, define priority, set up due date, etc., to ensure product delivery

3) support for define requirements & specification and investigate different technical solution with pros and cons

  • 3 months placement in Head Quarter (AG): recommended to experience in the R&D department and / or other central functions to better know the Navagation strategy, and build up connections with head quarter.
  • 6 months project in home country (2nd major field) - Business Line My Journey team to deeply understand the product details, and to know how to translate them into requirements and define technical solution.
  • 3 months to the 3rd country (subject to actual situation): e.g. other Asia countries, to get a insights, learnings and knowledge on how other markets operate and run their communication and business in comparison with global and the home country.
  • Other projects and tasks assigned by line manager, e.g. support on brand research measures, planning of communication milestones and to prepare pitch briefings and top management presentations.


Qualification

  • Engineering degree (master or bachelor with international studies) in automotive / electrical / computer / communications engineering or similar.
  • Business-fluent language skills in the local language
  • Fluent English (as well as knowledge of another language if English is the native language)
  • A sharp intellect
  • Strong experience in IT area and deep knowledge in software development
  • Initiative, personal accountability, willingness to change, team spirit, and self reflection
  • Readiness for an international career
  • Strong organizational and project leadership skills
  • Highly self-motivated and structured problem solving abilities are essential attributes as is the ability to priorities high levels of workload.
  • Confident and competent presentation and communication skills
  • At least six months of relevant work experience (e.g. internships, training, initial professional experience)
  • A maximum of 3 years professional working experience. Fresh graduate is also acceptable if he/she is outstanding.
  • At least four months of relevant experience abroad (e.g. studies, practical experience, work )
  • Extracurricular involvement (e.g. initial leadership experience in a university, community, or work setting, engagement in a student project, political or charity organization)
