Patent Engineer -JD
Introduction
We are currently expanding our R&D teams in China and looking for new colleagues who will join our team at our location Beijing/Shenzhen/Nantong. Your tasks: Responsible of growing our technical IP portfolio as part of our IP strategy Execution of intellectual property rights searches and analysis per needs of serialization or innovation projects, including state of the art assessment, competition analyses, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, landscaping, etc. Support of implementation of patent strategy in China region, e.g. engagement program, patent monitoring, patent maintenance etc. Support of internal strategic creation of Invention Disclosures (ID) on all relevant technology fields by identifying ideas and supporting inventors in quickly creating meaningful ID. Support of preparation and implementation of patent committees, and reporting out of patent statistics

Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain a strong patent portfolio
Key result 1.1: Develop an annual patent application plan to ensure submission of at least 100 new patent applications.
Key result 1.2: Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing patent portfolio, eliminate patents with no strategic value, and reduce maintenance costs.
Key result 1.3: Improve the quality of patent assets and ensure that at least 80% of new patent applications are authorized.

2: Strengthen intellectual property protection and compliance
Key result 2.1: Update the company's intellectual property policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the latest laws and regulations.
Key result 2.2: Organize at least 2 intellectual property awareness and compliance training sessions to enhance the intellectual property protection awareness of all employees.
Key result 2.3: Implement intellectual property audits to ensure that all products and projects have undergone appropriate intellectual property reviews.

3: Improve the efficiency and quality of patent applications
Key result 3.1: Optimize the patent application process and reduce the patent application cycle by at least 20%.
Key result 3.2: Establish a quality control mechanism for patent applications and improve the success rate of patent applications.
Key result 3.3: Collaborate with the R&D team to proactively engage in patent mining and layout for new technologies.

4: Promote cross collaboration of different departments and strengthen the consistency between patent strategy and business objectives
Key result 4.1: Establish regular communication mechanisms with R&D, product, and marketing departments to ensure alignment between patent strategy and company business objectives.
Key result 4.2: Participate in at least 3 cross departmental projects to ensure that patent activities are closely integrated with product development and marketing.
Key result 4.3: Enhance team support and engagement in patent work through collaboration.

5: Track the latest developments in the field of patents and intellectual property
Key result 5.1: Regularly monitor and analyze competitors' patent activities to provide decision support for the company.
Key result 5.2: Attend at least 2 industry conferences or seminars related to patents and intellectual property, and maintain updated industry knowledge.
Key result 5.3: Establish a patent information database to provide the company with patent trends and technical analysis.

6: Personal career development and leadership enhancement
Key result 6.1: Complete at least one training or certification in advanced patent law or related fields.
Key result 6.2: Publish at least one article on patent strategy or intellectual property management in a professional journal or conference.
Key result 6.3: Guide at least 2 new team members to help them grow in the field of patent engineering.

Qualification
Major in science or engineering(Master or above).
At least 3 years patent experience.
Excellent Chinese and English writing skills, and English shall be as the prior working language
Priority given to overseas study engineers
Proactive and strong communicator with colleagues in different groups
Strong mind of accomplishing tasks with high quality and ownership.
Keep well aware known of Home and Abroad laws.

Pension:
1.12K-16K monthly, more salary we can negotiate based on the candidate’s capability.
