岗位职责:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall and end-to-end management of the assigned merchandise categories to deliver budgeted revenue, profit margin and stock targets for the retail department. This role will also cover long-term strategic planning, forecasting new product trends, inventory analysis, and optimization of purchase strategies. The role requires a strong ability to analyze data, excellent coordination and communication skills, logical thinking, and a holistic view of the business landscape, as well as a passion for the LEGO brand or amusement park industry

Main Responsibilities

1. Category Planning

- Managing the planning and implementation of product lines with aligned merchandising strategies.
- Develop and implement long-term and short-term buying plans aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Utilize data analytics to understand customer behavior, track sales performance, and make informed merchandising decisions.
- Plan assortments around promotional events, holidays, or sales seasons.
- Preparing annual and quarterly budgets and presenting them to the relevant stakeholders

2. Merchandise Buying, Inventory and Sales Management

- Forecast new product trends in LEGO derivative merchandise, ensuring that our product offerings remain competitive and attractive to customers.
- Managing the product selection, demand forecasting, order placing, and inventory management based upon market trends, customer preferences and business goals.
- Formulate purchasing strategies that consider product portfolio depth to maximize sales outcomes.
- Conduct inventory analysis and develop strategies to optimize stock turnover, aiming to reduce holding costs while maintaining adequate product availability.
- Monitor inventory turnover rates and implement strategies to reduce excess inventory.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify business opportunities and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Implement pricing strategies for promotions, discounts, and sales events to drive customer traffic and sales.

3. Product line lifecycle management and store portfolio planning

- Manage retail system merchandise, including efficient inventory management and optimization of stock flow through effective entry and exit strategies.
- Plan store product assortments, ensuring a diverse and appealing range of products that meet customer demand and market trends.

4. Reporting, Liaise and Communication with Stakeholders

- Maintain accurate product information, including updates to product details and pricing.
- Prepare product sales reports and maintain visual displays (Kanban) to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Interpreting sales reports and providing counter plans on how to improve figures and customer engagement.
- Work with other functional teams to ensure a local merchandise success across all retail shops including collaboration on in-store signage, displays, and other marketing materials to highlight promotions and featured products.
- Communicate the product strategy to stakeholders and drive consistent premium guest experiences.
- Work closely with functional team to ensure right product execution and storytelling to consumers.

5. External Stakeholder Management

- Engage in effective communication and collaboration with relevant departments, including LEGO retail, LEGO Operations, LEGO headquarters, LEGO extended product divisions, and buying assistant managers from other parks.
- Set high bar on vendor service and product quality and conduct annual review to make reasonable vendor portfolio refreshment.
- Leverage LEGO resources in new product launch campaign and cross branding opportunities to maximize our retail commercial outcomes.

6. Health & Safety

- Managers/supervisors are responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety & Security within their team, in line with the Group Policy (HS001). In particular, they must ensure that risk assessments have been carried out, that safe working procedures are in place for all work activities and that all employees in their teams are aware of the Group Health, Safety and Security Policy and their obligations under it. They must ensure that safe working practices are monitored and that risk assessments and procedures are reviewed regularly. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are investigated appropriately and that where necessary, corrective action is taken to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.

Requirements

1. Education

- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Degree in business administration or supply chain management is a plus.

2. Background and Experiences

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in buying or sales operational function in consumable field. Proficient in product merchandising, marketplace and consumer knowledge and strategic line planning with science and art.
- Experiences in a cross functional work environment, project management or matrix organization
- Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems.
- Proven track record of successful vendor management and strategic buying.
- Experience working in a multinational corporation is highly valued.

3. Soft Skills

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to articulate goals, objectives, network, and influence and utilize internal and external resources.
- Logical thinking and the ability to consider multiple factors and their impact on the bigger picture.

- Strong presentation skills to delivery product insight/details and assortment strategy to cross-functional team.
- Passionate about the Lego brand and/or the amusement park industry.

4. Language Skills

- Fluent in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate conversation, contribute POV, lead and influence.

5. Software Skillset

- Proficiency in Excel (v-lookup, pivot etc )
- Proficiency in word and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in retail management software
