Job Vacancy: Road Laboratory Engineer (Based in Botswana and Malawi)
Job Description:
We are looking for a Road Laboratory Engineer to join our road construction projects in Botswana and Malawi. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in laboratory testing and quality control related to road construction materials. This position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Road Engineering Laboratory Experience: 5-10 years of experience in laboratory work related to road construction, particularly in testing road materials such as soil, asphalt, and concrete.
• Laboratory Management: Familiarity with laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and relevant standards. Strong skills in managing laboratory operations and analyzing test data.
• Technical Background: A degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field with a solid understanding of road engineering and materials testing standards.
• Quality Control: Ability to implement quality control measures during construction based on laboratory results, and provide recommendations to ensure project quality.
• English Proficiency: Fluent in English, with strong communication skills for working with local teams, international experts, and contractors.
• Overseas Experience: Prior overseas work experience or project management experience is preferred. The candidate should be adaptable to working in a cross-cultural environment.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of addressing technical challenges in the laboratory and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.
