Roles & Responsibilities:
• Manage piping engineering and man-hours, ensuring quality, budget and schedule are met
• Conceptual routing studies, engineering execution planning
• Ensure technical adequacy of engineering and design consistent with good engineering practice, safety in design, specific requirement of the project, and compliance with codes and standards
• Interface with clients and ensure coordination between piping and other discipline
• Facilitate piping discipline engineering meetings
• Prepare, review piping technical deliverables
• Review and comment on 3D model, procedures, material classes, vendor data and study reports (especially pipe stress analysis)
• Provide construction assistance
• Prepare, review piping practice (or standard) regarding piping support design, piping layout, piping installation
• Manage interface issues between topside and hull side of floater project (FPSO, FLNG, FPU, FSRU) or onshore modularized project
• Plant Layout, Piping Design and Piping Engineering experience within an EPC/EPCm environment
• Coordinate and direct drafters, check drawings and other documents
• Ensure Pipe Stress scope and deliverables are completed on time and on budget, whilst meeting the required level of technical safety and quality
• Perform pipe stress analyses and provide input to the piping layout and design of supports
• Prepare general notes requisitions or purchasing requirements for piping
• Review flowsheets for correctness of depicting piping and material
• Generate piping bulk requisitions from MTO
• Generate special piping item requisitions
• Prepare technical bid analysis for piping bulks as well as special piping items
Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience
• Minimum 12 years experience in offshore piping design, preferable in Topsides FPSO/FLNG experience
• A working knowledge based on previous experience, of codes, standards and accepted working practices with respect to Engineering in the international Oil & Gas industries
• Knowledge of piping material
• Knowledge of piping stress analysis
• Experience as a Piping Design Engineer in the Oil & Gas industries
• Good communicator at all levels with commercial and risk awareness

• Decision making ability based on sound supportable logic and knowledge
• Ability to recognise potential innovations and cost benefits
