Brief Introduction of the position

The Legal Counsel IT & Data Protection advises all ICV and IT related matters frogal perspective by focusing on data protection and IT security topics for the Volkswagen Smart E-mobility Hub entities. Work tasks of the position holder are to ensure that business activities of the Hub entities are carried out in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Tasks

• To provide data protection, data privacy and IT security legal consultations for corporate matters
• To advise on data protection, data privacy and IT security for commercial project and product matters
• To draft, review and provide support to negotiation of the data protection contracts and IT / data terms in purchasing and commercial contracts
• To advise on data grouping, data protection mapping for corporate-level roll-out
• To prepare and implement data protection / privacy and IT security policies
• To participate regular operational meetings to present legal standpoint
• To draft, review and provide support to negotiation of the IT and software license contracts
• To support software and hardware related product compliance tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor
• To support other assignments given by the supervisor

Qualification and skills

Education:

Law degree from a reputable law school in China

International education is preferred

Working experience:

3+ years of professional experience at Chinese or international law firms, or equivalent legal professional experience, preferably in the field of auto industry IT, data protection or cyber security

Knowledge, skills and others:

PRC judicial qualification

General familiarity with business-related laws and regulations and judicial practice

Native Mandarin speaker and proficient command of English as working language

Mature and confident personality

Ability to work independently, with sound analytical and problem-solving skills

Customer-oriented with strong self-motivation, well-organized with good sense of accountability and responsibility

Solid interpersonal skills and teamwork
