About us:

Metrologic Group provides innovative industrial solutions and services for industrial 3D measurements and quality departments. We empower our customers to solve complex 3D measurement challenges and boost their measuring device operation using the most innovative hardware, independent 3D measuring software solutions and dedicated electronics. As part of Sandvik, we aim to develop a combined offering for a more transparent production chain by linking the machining and quality assurance process.

In an expanding team in China, Metrologic Group is offering an interesting opportunity for a motivated engineer to join the team and have a real impact on our business with both customers and partners.

Position Overview:

As Application Engineer, reporting directly to our China Sales Manager, you will carry out and ensure users training, clients’ demonstrations as well as assistance and technical support for customers and partners within the associated sales area.

You participate in the sharing of relevant field information with Metrologic Group's Services, Products, Marketing and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive user requests and guide them in their us:

  • Take charge of incoming requests in a spontaneous way
  • Analyze the context of the customer request to identify the problem encountered
  • Provide answers adapted to customer requests
  • Synthesize and share knowledge in an appropriate manner via communication adapted to the interlocutor

Prepare and lead training sessions or demonstrations:

  • Prepare and adapt the content of the training or demonstration to ensure the desired level of quality
  • Train on software features with the help of internal experts to provide the best possible service
  • Guide the users of the solutions marketed by Metrologic group in their learning to use these products
  • Evaluate trainees' skills and know-how through validation tools

Maintaining customer satisfaction:

  • Act as the ambassador for Metrologic Group in your territory, promoting our brand and solutions.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Represent customer interests internally and maintain strong communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure reporting of its activity and customer feedback.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and methods

  • Identify and record malfunction conditions that need to be communicated to HQ technical support to ensure proper handling
  • Record requests for improvement so that they can be taken into account by the Product team
  • Stay up to date of our software development and technological trends
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Customer Services methods
  • Contribute to the updating of our processes
  • Contribute to our knowledge bases

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, technical support, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on customers’ technical environment, feedback, and insights.
  • Participate and contribute to promotional activities such as industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote Metrologic Group.

Desired Profile:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in general Mechanics, with a good knowledge of industrial fields.
  • Minimum 3- year experience in a job with a strong technical dimension in an industrial environment and a sense of customer service are required

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of drawing dimensioning systems, spatial representation, standards and tolerances.
  • Competence in 3D inspection (Coordinate Measuring Machine), preferably with Metrolog X4 but not mandatory.
  • English read/written mandatory, spoken nice to have.
  • Excellent communication skills, pedagogy, listening skills and empathy
  • Ability to use pedagogical techniques and tools to lead a group
  • Ability to work independently.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in a partner and customer support context.
  • Cross-cultural competencies to navigate diverse business environments
  • Advanced problem-solving skills for handling complex scenarios.
  • Critical thinking to analyze and address challenges within the channel.
  • Ability to work with interfaces, adapting attitude and communication to different situations
  • Ability to receive and give feedback
  • Ability to be open to others' know-how and to share one's own
  • Ability to demonstrate pedagogical skills

Working Conditions

  • Travel: Regular travel within your geographical area is required (approximately 80% on the sites of our customers and partners).
  • Safety: Comply with all customer safety requirements, including PPE guidelines

Possibility to work from home; preferred area (Suzhou, Qingdao, Hangzhou, Shanghai in order of preference)

The onboarding process will include comprehensive training on Metrologic Group's value propositions, market positioning, and in-depth technical training on products.

确认培训和演示

  • 向客户展示软件解决方案,并根据客户的具体需求建议他们使用软件的功能。
  • 指导用户学习使用Metrologic Group销售的解决方案。
  • 使用验证工具评估受训者的技能和知识。
  • 提升公司形象和产品质量。
  • 确保我们服务的卓越性和专业性。

  • 在分析收到的请求或问题时,确保遵守服务水平协议(合同或其他协议),以保证客户满意。
  • 处理收到的请求

技能和要求

教育与经历:

  • 机械专业相关本科及以上学历 。
  • 至少有 3 年在工业环境中从事技术性较强工作的经验,并具有客户服务意识。
  • 对我们的(工业)客户的不同活动领域有强烈的兴趣和好奇心。

需要的技能:

  • 精通图纸尺寸标注、空间和坐标系概念、形位公差标准。.
  • 熟悉三维检测(CMM),不是强制要求,但是有使用Metrolog X4软件经验优先
  • 英文读写能力,口语佳优先
  • 出色的沟通技巧、教学方法、倾听技巧和共情能力
  • 运用教学技巧和工具带动团队的能力
  • 独立工作能力
