Responsibility:

• 1. Support global supply chain and quality teams in qualification of materials testing and approval of elastomers, polymers, carbons, and ceramics.
• 2. Performs necessary background investigations to design and select appropriate tests or experiments needed to develop data for materials qualification or forensic analysis.
• 3.Perform operational functions of the Materials Group which are necessary to provide services, supplies and equipment for the operation of the group.
• 4.Recommend, develop and implement policies, procedures and standards for the orderly functioning of the group under the direction of the materials engineering manager.
• 5.Confer with customers or vendors for the purpose of obtaining information necessary to conduct daily investigations and to select and purchase equipment, materials and services.
• 6.Conduct failure analysis of products which have failed in service, manufacturing, or testing and relaying a comprehensive report of finding with evidence.
• 7. Populate internal database with key information for users to be able to select appropriate materials for the application.
• 8.Keep abreast of current technological developments within and outside the company.

Requirement:

• 1.MSc in Material Science or Materials Engineering
• 2.Typically at least 2 years’ in material testing and application related experience.
• 3.Test lab work experience is preferred.
• 4.Familiar with ASTM, ASM, NACE, ISO standards…
• 5.Familiar with optical microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope and other Materials analysis equipment
• 6.Familiar with metallographic sample preparation and examination
• 7.Understand corrosion mechanisms of materials
• 8.Understand basic fracture mechanics for failure analysis
• 9.English ability：Skilled in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing
