Responsibilities:
-Assumes responsibility for supervision of construction activities to achieve project objectives, e.g. safety, quality, environment, schedule and cost, etc.
-Implements safety program and ensures safe working conditions.
-Supervises field construction activities through the Superintendents and Construction Supervisors, and coordinate their activities.
-Reviews and approves construction methods and schedules prepared by the contractors.
-Coordinates with Client, keeping Client informed timely of progress and problems.
-Reviews and negotiates services to be purchased from outside sources, as well as, contractual responsibilities of contractors.Reviews contractors’ requests for compensation and changes in construction phase.
-Supervises contractors' preparation, maintenance and change in construction schedules, method, manning charts, and construction equipment requirements. Advises contractor to improve unfavourable trends in progress or to develop new construction methods to overcome unusual circumstances.
-Coordinates with Project Control to obtain the status of costs and schedule, and coordinates with the Material Control to obtain the status of materials.
-Coordinates with project Engineering Manager to obtain technical information for construction.
-Prepares detailed construction completion plan. Requests contractors to submit list of remaining work and ensure completeness. Assists with preparation of required documents for construction completion.
-Prepares construction reports regularly.
-Ensures that construction activities are carried out in accordance with the Quality plan.
-Assures that work is within budget, plan and carried out efficiently in order to minimize waste.
-Assist/support HSE Manager to maintain the project HSE system.
-Ideal candidates should have oil and gas, petrol chemical and chemical or Pharmaceutical background and experience in site construction management, construction safety,field QA/QC activities, subcontracting works,Monitoring construction schedual and resolving field engineering issues.
-Ensures as-build documentation and certification is in place for handing over in a timely manner.
Requirements:
-College degree or above in mechanical engineering.
-At least 10 years working experience in construction site with minimum 5 years at managerial level.6+ years of related working experience in large project for MNC
-Proven track records of results in deliveries from previous construction site with at least 2 millions direct construction man hour.
-Good interpersonal and leadership skill. Fluent communication in English is a must.
-Sound knowledge in engineering design in particular solving field engineering issues as well as familiar with local and foreign engineering design code and standard is preferable.
