1.Fundamental Requirements for Die Design Checking

1.1 The service supplier will carry out three rounds of die design checking:

For each round the supplier need check the die design for adherence

• to the die manufacturing approval protocol MAP (FAP), which defines the materials to be used, etc. at the end of the method planning period.

• to the requirements of Press-line and flow chart (DLP).

• to warrant functionality and avoid collision risks in the die design.

1.2 The verification of the die design will be based on a check list (DSCL) provided by VWA. The issues found shall be documented with pictures (screen shots) with an explanation using a VWA template. Recommendation to solve the issues shall be included (example: increase casting width, optimization of functionality, etc.)

The results of the die design check might need to be discussed with VWA and the die manufacturer.

More than 8 years experience in stamping mold design and audit.

Familiar with VW standard, VW porject experience is preferred.

Know well about mold desigh of body side, fender, aspect parts.
