The New Product Development Loudspeaker Engineer works closely with the Chief Loudspeaker Engineer and Product Management in designing and developing production-scale, high-performance loudspeakers for the James and Sonance brands.

This highly technical role requires someone who can develop and deliver results to complex and demanding engineering problems using modern techniques and methods.

Responsibilities

· Work with factories and engineering teams based in China and North America to take designs into production.

· Develop and execute acoustical and reliability test plans on various transducers and loudspeaker systems throughout the development process (prototype, validation, production)

· Quality Assurance: Ensure that speakers meet specified performance, quality, and sonic signature standards through rigorous testing and validation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Acoustic Engineering, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

· 8+ years of experience in the design and development of loudspeaker systems for the consumer market

· Experience designing and modeling transducers and enclosures

· Proficiency using loudspeaker design tool such as FINEMotor, FEMM, COMSOL, VituixCAD, etc.

· Experience with loudspeaker test equipment such as Klippel, REW, Clio, Listen, MLSSA, LMS etc.
