RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Bring new improved products to market, introducing high value traits into elite corn inbred lines.
2. Develop and execute a trait introgression strategy that adheres to Chinese regulations and use state-of-art technologies to deliver high quality conversions under established timelines.
3. Work with the nursery and station operation team to accelerate the continuous production process and optimize each critical step.
4. Collaborate with breeders to compile the list of trait introgression targets for the parental lines of pipeline hybrids.
5. Establishment and maintenance of a Quality Management System in China Research team, actively participating in training, implementation, and quality checks for the team according Company guidelines.
6. Collaborate with both internal and external laboratories to develop reliable and efficient molecular testing methods that support the project's goals.
7. Manage the budget and allocate resources effectively to achieve program objectives.
8. Ensure the safety of germplasm throughout the trait introgression process.
9. Foster a safe and inclusive working environment for all team members, promoting diversity and professional growth.
Qualifications:
1. Hold a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Plant Breeding, biotechnology, or a related field.
2. Possess a minimum 3 years of experience with strong background in plant breeding and molecular technologies.
3. Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, management and teamwork abilities.
4. Exhibit a good understanding of relevant policies and regulations in new breeding technology.
5. Be proficient in using software for data analysis, presentation, and reporting.
6. Be willing to engage in field and laboratory work.
7. Be able to meet deadlines, work extended hours outdoors, and undertake frequent travel throughout the growing season.
8. Have strong language skill in both English and Chinese.
9. Hold a valid driver's license.
