JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION NAME: Manufacturing Engineer / Assembly
DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing Engineering
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Person on this position will work as Manufacturing Engineer in Techincal Center Fangshan.
2. Schedule, plan, and prioritize projects
3. Define manufacturing process specifications and requirements
4. Contribute ideas and concepts
5. Initiate and/or perform process analysis (e.g., PFMEA, Design for Manufacture/Assembly)
6. Coordinate and implement process development projects
7. Maintain engineering documentation (e.g., Process flow diagrams)
8. Participate in simultaneous engineering and design for manufacturing.
9. Apply and participate in the Bill of Process.
10. Participate in cost estimating.
11. Prepare and coordinate the release of funds for equipment and tooling.
12. Coordinate Manufacturing System Design & PFMEA workshops.
13. Define equipment specification to insure operational availability and quality.
14. Develop & implement new technologies to the manufacturing process
15. Apply lean manufacturing principles to all aspects of the process manufacturing equipment insuring quality, safety, capacity and high value added operations.
16. Participate with Industrial Engineers in building the cell moke-up and workstation.
17. Cooperate with plant ME during equipment implementation process.
18. Perform all necessary studies to assure compatibility of process capability with design requirements
19. Participate in Bill of Process Team workshops to develop it.
20. Utilize the Bill of Process (BOP) and other proper manufacturing processes and assembly methods
21. Actively support Continues Improvement Process initiatives
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (R)
2. Experience in Manufacturing Engineering (P)
3. Experience in assembly processes, automatic controlled processes (P)
4. Readiness for frequent travels within China (R)
5. Experience in Automotive Industry (especially in dampers manufacturing) (P)
6. Experience in Process analytical tools (PFMEA, SPC, etc.) (P)
7. High level of analytical ability (R)
8. Experience in using the Microsoft Office applications (R), as well as more specialized software (P)
9. Good knowledge of the English language (R)
10. Ability to speak additional languages (P)
11. Ability to work as a member of a larger team (R)
12. High level of interpersonal skills (R)
13. Understanding of engineering theory and principles of machine design (R)
14. Oral and written communication skills (R)
15. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing/JIT concepts (P)
