DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Budget and development strategy for the plant engineering;
2. Supervision of all sub-functions within ME organization at the plant level;
3. Coordination and cooperation with other departments within plant;
4. Continuous improvement activities in all aspects including MCIP and cost reduction, productivity, suggestion scheme;
5. Creating new ideas and concepts support;
6. Utilize effective methods based on Motion Kaizen;
7. Apply lean manufacturing principles to all aspects of the process manufacturing equipment insuring quality, safety, capacity and high value added operations;
8. Verification of necessary studies to assure compatibility of process capability with design requirements;
9. Engineering Change implementation for running projects;
10. Supervise the release of local plant AR’s (appropriation request);
11. The cost estimation – preparation and verification for running projects;
12. Initiate and support process analysis performing (e.g., PFMEA)
13. Saving & cost avoidance initiatives;
14. SAP initial data preparation, implementation and supervision;
15. Local capacity planning;
16. Layout supervision and improvement;
17. Supervision of all process, design, equipment and tooling documentation;
18. Support Bill of Process Team workshops to develop it;
19. Coordination and cooperation with TC ME;
20. Participate and Maintain Quality System in the plant;

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (R)
2. Experience in Manufacturing Engineering (P)
3. Experience in Automotive Industry (especially in dampers manufacturing) (P)
4. Readiness for frequent travels within China (R)
5. Experience in Process analytical tools (PFMEA, SPC, etc.) (P)
6. High level of analytical ability (R)
7. Experience in using the Microsoft Office applications (R), as well as more specialized software (P)
8. Very Good knowledge of the English language (R)
9. Ability to speak additional languages (P)
10. Managerial abilities (R)
11. High level of interpersonal skills (R)
12. Flexibility to work early or late schedule as well as live and work temporary (up to 8 weeks) outside China (R)
13. Understanding of engineering theory and principles of machine design (R)
14. Oral and written communication skills (R)
15. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing/JIT concepts (P)
