Scope of work – Body in White Engineer

· Task description

1. Work as BIW engineer and support BIW team testing work according to Mercedes-Benz requirement and project plan.

2. Ensure the special request implemented by supporting and monitoring in body shop and assembly shop.

3. Initiate the work order in PiT-system for part/vehicle retrofit task.

4. Work together with Logistic department and supplier for part/vehicle delivery both domestical and global by operation in eLogistic-system.

5. Work together with testing department or supplier for testing setup, testing sample preparation and inspection.

6. Track test schedule and ensure test report available on time.

7. Work together with test expert and other partner for failure sample analysis when damage happened.

8. Prepare documents for information transparency, technical meeting, and further escalation.

9. Support test expert on documentation management. i.g. lessons learnt, know-how collection and deep dive preparation.

10. Business trip for onsite support base on project when necessity.

· Qualification

1. Candidates with at least 2 years testing background for Body in white parts and closure parts from OEM or supplier.

2. With good knowledge of automotive development process, especially for BIW components

3. Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels

4. Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language is beneficial.

· Experience

1. Graduates with min. 5 years’ experience in automotive industry in the area of Body in White development at OEMs or suppliers

2. Experienced in BIW data generation/modification with Siemens NX

· Education

1. University degree in mechanical or automotive engineering

2. Project Management knowledge is preferred.
