Job Description
We are looking for a User-Experience (UX) designer able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, as well as being responsible for conceiving and conducting user research and surveys, and translating them into user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes and mockups. The UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, ensure great user experience, and iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.
Responsibilities
1. Craft a brand story. Facilitate the company’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
2. Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
3. Presents design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback.
4. Perform market research, including user interviews and competitor analysis.
5. Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
6. Works alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle.
7. Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences. Optimize for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
Qualifications
1. Three or more years of UX design experience. A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions
2. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
3. Experience in eCommerce related work is a plus.
4. Ability to understand business metrics and translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
5. Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
6. Experience in a highly Agile/scrum environment. Open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism. Willingness to iterate work output based on feedback
7. Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, Balsamiq, Figma, and the like is a must. Comfortability with at least one programming language such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
8. A solid grasp of user-centered design, planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
9. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
