岗位职责:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Quality and Food Safety for our Baby Nutrition Care (BNC) products, with a focus on our lead brand Biostime and serving our lead Region China and growth regions Europe, ANZ/Asia and USA. Our BNC Product Category includes Infant Milk Formulas, Probiotics and Nutritional Supplements. You will be a member of the H&H Group Quality Leadership Team and support the developing and executing of Quality strategies, standards, systems and continuous improvement programs. You will collaborate with Regulatory, Product Development, Operations, Customer Care, Procurement, Logistics, Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and Suppliers.
You will also be the Quality Leader of our China BNC Category to ensure the end-to-end quality management of BNC products or materials, applying systematic and risk-based approaches and driving continuous improvement in Quality and Food Safety in China. You will be responsible to lead the BNC supplier quality management (SQM) team and H&H Quality laboratory in Toulouse, France.
This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, a thorough understanding of quality assurance/control processes, strong leadership, and communication skills.
Position Responsibilities
• Be responsible to lead, structure, develop and grow the direct team, talents, and capabilities in China and France to support business needs and capitalizes best practices.
• Be accountable for setting, managing and assuring the Quality Standards for the BNC Category, including product standards, specifications and guidelines for Quality-by-Design.
• Be accountable for the overall, end-to-end quality management for China BNC Category from Suppliers and Contract Manufacturers.
• Assure Quality with Suppliers and CMs, by ensuring Quality Agreements in place for Manufacturing and PD.
• Perform supplier and contract manufacturer audits.
• Lead investigations and follow-ups regarding CMs and Supplier non conformances (NC) and Customer complaints to ensure Corrective Action & Preventive Action (CAPA) are effectively applied.
• Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of procedures, systems and data management related to Global BNC SQM and China BNC Category. Audit, review and drive improvement across internal China BNC Quality and Food Safety systems where necessary.
• Ensure right assessment/approval/monitoring/release procedures and responsibilities are followed and ensure Quality compliance of products/materials form CMs/Suppliers.
• Ensure Quality-by-Design in EPD/NPD projects and Change Controls of products/materials from CMs/Suppliers, in joint responsibility and close collaboration with respective PD leaders.
• Review and investigate customer complaints related to potential Quality incidents of products/materials from CMs/Suppliers.
• Utilize and communicate appropriate Risk Management principles during product development and product life cycle decisions.
• Set up and monitor KPIs related to the Global BNC SQM and China BNC Quality in alignment with the Group Quality leadership. Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create alignment and commitment to our Quality & Food Safety initiatives for Global BNC SQM and China BNC Quality, which are set to deliver reduction of related customer complaints, elimination of non-conformity, improved performance consistency, standards harmonization and consistency, and business enablement to improve/enhance customers’ buying experiences and exceed customers’ satisfaction.
• Conduct regular inspections of regional co-manufacturing facilities to monitor adherence to H&H quality standards, regulatory compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Customer care, production, R&D, and procurement, to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure the product return/recall implemented, following the established procedure and regulatory requirements.
• Periodically provide Global BNC SQM and China BNC Quality performance updates to Regional and Operations management and Leadership.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to BNC quality and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, supplier management and food safety, preferably in Infant Nutrition, Food, Nutrition and/or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, including FSSC22000, HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in driving change, with a pragmatic and collaborative approach to achieve commercial objectives whilst maintaining Quality standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex quality issues.
• Effective communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate quality objectives to stakeholders at all levels, good background in cross-cultural communications.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of product quality and food safety.
• International experience is considered an advantage.
