We are looking for a new colleague SQA Engineer - Casting for our Wind Power BU for Division Industrial Technology at our location of Tianjin, China.
Your tasks:
- Supplier Audit: Carry out onsite audit (VDA6.3 P1, technological audit) for the new potential foundry supplier, assess technical & manufacturing capability, product quality control system and risk assessment; then share the conclusion from SQA function for decision making of supplier selection; And follow up the corrective actions of audit findings if needed.
- Supplier Readiness: For items to be started up at suppliers: Perform risk assessments; Perform technical reviews with the supplier; Ensure that the suppliers are following the APQP process and are adhering to the project plan; Ensure that suppliers are submitting acceptable PPAP documentation; Define safe launch plans and follow them up at the suppliers.
- Complaint Handling: Communicate supplier related quality complaints to the supplier, and assure that the supplier is timely taking containment, corrective and preventive actions; Leads the recovery of the cost related to these complaints; Process requests from the supplier to deviate from the specification (SDR); Start quality escalations (if the criteria for this are fulfilled), and drive the escalation internally as well as towards the suppliers; Support incoming inspection (family test plans, instruction sheets, trouble shooting, etc.).
- Supplier development: Monitor and analyze the quality performance of the suppliers and execute improvement projects at the supplier when targets are not met; Align quality targets with the suppliers; Perform process (VDA6.3) and technological audits. Support in the approval of new suppliers (supplier selection, VDA6.3 potential analysis, technological assessment, QD83 negotiation); Give advice to the commodity and support the commodity in Part Family Strategy.
- Support commodity and program purchasing: Define and execute VAVE projects and other cost reductions in Supplier Management; Support in the approval of new suppliers (supplier selection, VDA6.3 potential analysis, technological assessment, QD83 negotiation); Give advice to the commodity and support the commodity in Part Family Strategy.
Your profile:
- Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in casting engineering or relevant field in mechanical engineering or metallurgy. At least 5 years’ working experience in foundry (or relevant experience); with the knowledge of casting machining is plus.
- Commodity specific technology: Casting commodity specific technology (operations and inspections) is mandatory, finish machining and 3D CMM measurement is strongly recommended; Required to have comprehensive knowledge or be skilled of conducting quality related topics like: 8D problem solving, APQP quality planning, VDA6.3 process audits, FMEA product and process risk assessments, Technical statistics, IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 Basics.
- Have Basic English and be fluent in Chinese and legal working in China.
