Objective of Job
• Lead and coordinate an automotive development project based on a theoretical training in project management as well as at least three years of project management activities (e.g. as project staff) conformable to requirement matrix project management
Principle Activities
• Create project plans/concepts and assure they are followed (e.g. resource planning, schedule planning, cost planning, etc.) in cooperation with technical or key project leaders as well as technical areas; introduce actions in case of deviations, as required. And get approved by plant manager and main project manager.
• Cooperate in conducting risk analysis.
• Develop suggestions for project organization; select suitable associates (e.g. in the affected plants, etc.) in cooperation with supervisors and define tasks, rules and interfaces (e.g. for sub-project leaders, (approved organization chart), etc.)
• Assure compliance with allocated project budget and distribute to functions reporting to him/her (e.g. sub-project leaders, etc.); introduce actions in case of deviations
• Act as interface between involved internal/external areas (e.g. key project leader, technical project leader, sub-project leader, customer, suppliers, departments, etc.)
• Assure compliance with set project indicators/goals with regard to production-relevant topics
• Analyze and evaluate changes (internal/ external), cooperate in negotiations (e.g. volume and costs of changes, etc.) and assure implementation
• Create and check project reports and presentations, as well as project conclusion documentation
• Provide technical leadership for project associates and/or sub-project leaders
• Cooperate in optimizing/developing processes, systems and methods (e.g. conduct lessons learned reviews, etc.)
• Assure bid creation based on production costs for inquiries, in cooperation with the involved product leaders; provide support in creating bids; define alternatives if costs are too high; and coordinate with key project leaders and supervisors
• Create and contribute to the business plan (e.g. space, employees, equipment, etc.) within the main project
• Take responsibility for part production, from the time the order is received until 3 months after SOP for each derivative
• Take responsibility for process planning/plant planning (e.g. processes, procedures, material flow, layout, etc.)
• Take responsibility for procuring lines, equipment, tools
Job and Work Requirements
• Bachelor degree or equivalent professional education
• 5 years working experience in automotive project management
• Personal skills in working with cross-function team, and good English language
• Ability to work in a team, entrepreneurial way of thinking and dealing
• Very good technical understanding
• Knowledge of manufacturing process
