Key Responsibilities

Manage IT projects/productsResponsible to accomplish the aims of IT projects/products using agile methodology and tools, according to time, quality and budget. Play the role of agile project manager for the implementation of software in BBA, being responsible to ensure that the project achieves the agreed time line, that the the delivery matches the specification, and that the needed budget is accurately evaluated and managed

Manage IT project/product teams (incl. involved suppliers)Ensuring that the project/product team delivers according to the specification of the workorders and user stories, which they are assigned, using agile methodologies and tools, with particular attention being paid to the quality of the delivery and the timliness thereof. Clearly define the work that is assigned to external partners and suppliers and measure the success of the delivery against pre-defined acceptance criteria. Support the team members and create an environment within the project in which all team members can thrive, so that they are empowered to deliver excellence

Work in IT project/product teams Supporting the project/product team to deliver excellence by playing the allocated agile role. Be a team player who enables colleagues to perform to the best of their ability through proactively supporting them, and collaborating effectively

Manage the delivery/maintenance of applicationsPlan, prepare, execute, and communicate releases of software into the productive environments so as to minimise the business impact of the changes. Document the technical information about the applications and their interfaces, the responsibilities for the applications, and other relevant information in the appropriate systems and handbooks. Allocate workorders to the maintenence suppliers and measure the success of the delivery against pre-defined acceptance criteria

Manage the operations of applicationsEnsure the stable runing of applications through consistent and excellent management of incidents, problems and changes. Document the operational information about the applications and their interfaces, the responsibilities for the applications, and other relevant information in the appropriate systems and handbooks. Allocate workorders to the operations suppliers and measure the success of the delivery against pre-defined acceptance criteria

Manage the method support for CADEnsuring that the business users are able to use the correct methods to deliver meaningful results that contribute to the ItO work. Steering suppliers who are experts in the PLM/CAD applications to provide this vital service to the business department

Manage the requirements of the businessDevelop, improve and implement of methods and processes together with the engineering departments that will improve the business processes in those areasSupport the business departments to develop their ideas and evaluate the IT related costs of implementation of those ideas

Interface to counterparts in BMWPlan of the content and the schedule of the SW releases in cooperation with the IT department of BMW in GermanyCollaborate with product team from BMW to plan and execute technical and functional releases of software

Qualifications

University degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable qualification

IT Project/Product Management and business analysis, knowledge of agile PM methods and processes

Knowledges in Information Technologies (Client/Server, Databases, SW Development with Java or .net, SW Engineering, Web technologies etc)

Very good English skills in written and spoken (preferably basic German skills)

Team-work and communication skills with international team

Familiar with the automotive product development process and PLM solution

Familiar with the geometry data management or geometry design / integration applications like Teamcenter / visMockup / CATIA

ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Configuration, Financial Management of IT Services)

Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills, assertiveness and confident attitude

Intercultural competence and willingness to travel

Experience as a project leader for the implementation of complex IT applications in close cooperation with internal and external partners 4-6 Years

Experience in R&D or Engineering Processes at automotive industries, especially in geometric data related area 4-6 Years

Deep practical experience as a IT delivery manager with experience in implementing the necessary IT solutions for R&D or Engineering Processes 1-3 Years

Experience with PLM applications like Teamcenter, visMockup, CATIA etc 1-3 Years

Experience with Agile Project and IT Product Management 1-3 Years
