Roles and Responsibilities:
Development (80%)
• Conduct research in AI/ML and explore novel models, tools, and techniques.
• Prototype and experiment state-of-the-art approaches.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate research findings into practical solutions.
• Develop and execute rigorous evaluation methodologies and metrics.
• Tune AI model accuracy, efficiency, and robustness.
• Evaluate technical viability, risks, and resource requirements of integrating AI/ML components to solutions.
• Design, implement, test, and deliver AI engines as microservices.
• Contribute to software architecture design and drive improvements.
• Develop enterprise-scale MVP and subsequent roll-out to future areas.
• Ensure highest technical quality of deliverables, and ensure they are cost-effective to maintain by incorporating automated product testing for functions, performance, and security.
• Contribute relevant, clean, concise, and quality documentation to AIA knowledge base to support/increase information sharing within the organization.
• Work across multiple projects simultaneously. Able to multi-task and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. 
• Process bug reports and release fixes.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Participate in Agile processes.
• Think critically and innovatively to solve problems.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, new systems, AI technology, trending solutions, etc.
Governance (20%)
• Collaborate with software architects to compile and maintain AI engineering guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership in AI engineering.
• Guide development teams in implementing AI services, ensuring best practices and adherence to engineering standards.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Must Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, science, or related fields, or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
• Proven experience in at least 1 popular database, preferably Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB.
• Experience in cloud platforms, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Customer focus.
• Good team player.
• Strong communication skills in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge/experience in generative AI such as large language models and image generators is a strong plus.
• Experience in DevOps, ML Ops and LLM Ops.
• Experience in distributed system tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Redis, Kafka, etc.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum software development process.
