Description:
- Communicate with project team to Understand requirement for equipment
- Make equipment proposals(focus on mechanical part), with estimation of investment/lead time, Select the best one
- Involved in manufacturability study of new product
- Communicate with supplier and purchasing to get an offer/quotation
- Communicate with plant/GSC to convince the equipment solution and investment
- Monitor and support supplier to realize the equipment
- Make equipment qualification together with plant
- Support prototype making
- Take part in pilot run/process audit and pass mass production
- Support ramp up of production line to reach committed performance
- 12 years experience as mechanical design engineer of assembly and test equipment
- Rich experience in Mechanical proposal define, detail design and trouble shooting
- Very Familiar with pneumatic components
- Application experience of mechanical components like index, manipulator, vibrator, step motor and sensors etc.
- Excellent experience in assembly and fabrication process like riveting, welding and laser printing
- Skillful to make tolerance calculation on critical dimensions during machining and assembly
- Familiar with quality tools
- Experience in lean manufacturing
- Basic Electrical/Automation knowledge
- Equipment project management experience
- Willing to work in team
- Good analysis and problem solving skills, able to collect and analyze data according the project needs, setup reasonable action plan and push to achieve anticipated result
- Open minded, ready to be challenged and to learn other’s best practices
- Good communication skills with internal/external
- Able to coach other engineers
- Very Strong leadership
